To start on non-writing related news, we sadly had to put down our trusted kids' horse Summer. She was old and very sick with Cushing's, causing it to be very painful for her to even stand up. But on the brighter side of things, our family has acquired a golden retriever puppy! She's five months old now. We named her Autumn, for a few reasons. Firstly, we got her in the fall time; secondly she's the colour of fallen leaves, at least here in Alberta; and it makes sense that Autumn should come after Summer . . . here's a recent picture of her with my little brother Toby
We're almost getting close to completing 2/3s of this school year, which is very exciting! We're studying English Literature this year, so a lot of the book recommendations on one of my other blogs, aliterarygarden.blogspot.com , will be books that I've just read in school. Also, keep your eyes on rhiannareadsbooks.blogspot.com , I am intending to revamp this blog and tell what I think of books as I'm reading them, which is a bit different then what I've done before.
Anyways, on the writing-related news, I don't have too much. I've worked slowly on whichever stories I have a whim for, which leads to the writing of many, many short stories. I'll justify it by calling it writing practice. 😜😉
In any case, it's hard to get writing sessions in; most that I do are on the car drive to and from Orchestra rehearsals on Monday evenings.
I hope that this post puts a little sunshine in your day. Thanks for reading!
